Located just 20 miles west of Chicago’s loop, Downers Grove is the home of one of Chicagoland’s most energetic downtowns with many unique boutique shops along with a wide variety of dining and community events. Within this downtown is one of DuPage County’s most popular attractions, the historic Tivoli Theatre; one of the rare historic movie houses that has not been divided into several small screens and has been carefully restored to its original splendor.
Downers Grove has its own Metra commuter train station and is conveniently located near O’Hare and Midway International airports. Downer’s Grove also houses several of the historic Sears homes. From 1908 to 1937 one could order a kit to build an entire house from the Sears Catalog. Downers Grove became a primary spot to build these homes as the components were delivered by rail and Downers Grove has 3 train stops.
