The Village of Hillside is a suburb of Chicago, located 15 miles west of Chicago’s Loop. The Village encompasses an area of 3.15 square miles, the majority of which is level to slightly rolling in topography. Due to its mid-western location, Hillside is subjected to four distinct seasonal changes annually, with a wide temperature range between winter and summer. There are no commuter trains through Hillside, although downtown Chicago workers may drive south to the BNSF rail station in downtown La Grange or Western Springs, or north to access the Union Pacific West rail line in Berkeley or Bellwood. Another option is the CTA Blue Line (L) in Forest Park approximately three miles east, where a new commuter station and parking facility accommodates accessibility to Chicago’s Loop. The easily accessible highways place the Loop, Wisconsin, and Indiana within 35 minutes of Hillside.
